A Bit of Wisdom

A recent piece of wisdom shared from an older, married woman:
"I know I could manipulate and change his mind to do what I want, but God doesn't want that. I can't get in the way of God's will. He needs to come to a decision from God. It will be better that way."
To fully trust in God while she knows her outcome will be 'better', could be puzzling for a number of us … Could her actions be justified by the outcome?
I would say no, as his decision-making is altered not from influence or consideration of genuine help from the Lord, but from of manipulation.
The takeaway from this bit of wisdom is a reminder to fully strive in trusting God's will; not only that, but to also prepare for whether such calls for help in trial, or to endure, or another Godly practice. Lastly, to test between helpfulness towards God's will, or helpfulness towards my fleshly desires is what were gleaned.
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies, 21 but test everything; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-22 English Standard Version)
What does helpfulness look like to you?
