Happy Christmastime!
With all the festivities, decorations, and gift giving, I hope we all find encouragement to continue in spreading the joy of our Lord, for His Birthday celebration. Such a spreading of joy may take place in many forms, as we may find joy in seeing nativity scenes, symbols of Christ (like the cross), festivities, and so on. Therefore, encouragement is given to continue to spread such joy, and more importantly, share the origin of where our Joy comes from, as it comes from Jesus.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 English Standard Version)
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16 English Standard Version)
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. 8 Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. (1 Corinthians 3:5 – 8 New King James Version)
19 My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, 20 let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. (James 5:19-20 English Standard Version)
Likewise, may it be known that the Nativity Scene is so, a scene; it is not a depiction of anything in Heaven, but a symbol, scene, or capturing of what took place here on Earth. Nonetheless, it is impactful, simple, yet showing a clear message. It captures the true meaning of Christmas, which is our Savior being born.
Merry Christmas!
With love,
Claire Belle
